All drivers, from drop in racers, corporate events and out of town visitors are required to hold a valid annual membership. This is needed to setup your race account, track your lap times, issue printouts, use of our cotton head socks and new helmets. Every driver must be at least 12 years old, 61 inches tall (5'1"), with a max weight of 260 lbs. and "be able to safely operate the ProKart." Each new racer will be required to drive their first 5 laps on a medium speed, to learn the layout of the track and go through a one time, safety briefing demonstration including a video. Racers under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign our digital release liability form at the track, at time of registration.
One 14 lap race takes approximately 8-10 minutes. Example: 30 drivers in a Grand Prix Event, 10 drivers in each practice heat x 3 heats. 10 minutes a heat x 3 heats equals 30 minutes of race time for the practice round. 30 minutes for the qualifier round and 30 minutes of race time for the finals. Add social time between rounds and your event would be 1.5 hours or racing and 30-60 minutes of social time between rounds. Plan for a 2 - 2.5 hour event.

If your group is larger, no problem, we run separate heats and with events, the computer tracks all drivers as if they were all on the track at one time, re-ordering the next round based on driver skill and lap times, like you see in formula one.
Yes, but it must be Snell/D.O.T-approved. If the sticker is not clearly visible, the helmet will not be allowed. All helmets must include a face shield with a full chin guard.
Racers must be at least 12 years old, minimum of 5'1, and be under 260 lbs to race. While you do not require a drivers license to race, we do ask for a piece of photo ID. All drivers regardless of your age or ability must be able to “safely operate the kart”, otherwise your kart speed may be reduced or your race ends early. Photo ID is required for driver verification purposes; all drivers must sign their release of liability & waiver form. Please refer to the racing and rules page for more details.
No. SPEEDERS Indoor ProKarts uses green technology, with the best high-tech electric propulsion prokarts in the world, reaching speeds up to 70kms per hour. The torque and driving responsiveness is incredible!
You will need to wear an approved safety helmet, which is provided. The use of a race suit is not necessary with our prokarts. Wear comfortable clothes and closed toed shoes. Any long hair must be pulled back into a pony tail. If you bring your own helmet, it must be a full face helmet and must say DOT or SNELL approved.
We offer public indoor karting to drivers of all levels. Simply drop-in if you have a group of 10 or less. Please refer to our pricing information here for public racing.

The major difference is the power source. Electric propulsion prokarts accelerate harder, smoother and generally offer more consistent performance than gas-powered engines. Our prokarts are quieter and produce zero emissions or smells. They also keep you and the raceway clean because there is no gas or oil used, that would leak onto the track.
